Graduate Certificate FAQs
What are my graduation options?
Is it possible to do a Graduate Certificate in one discipline and then swap (with full credit) into a Masters in another discipline?
Q: What are my graduation options?
A: After completing your Graduate Certificate, you can choose to:
- Finish studying and Graduate with your Graduate Certificate
- Not graduate with your Graduate Certificate and complete the Masters Degree
- Graduate with your Graduate Certificate and continue your study to complete the Masters Degree (a $200 graduation fee applies)
Q: Is it possible to do a Graduate Certificate in one discipline and then swap (with full credit) into a Masters in another discipline?
A: This is possible provided the subjects you did in your Graduate Certificate are also included in the Masters you are interested in moving into. For example, if you completed the following 4 subjects in your Graduate Certificate in Management (IT)
Subject: ITC506 Topics in IT Ethics
Subject: ITC563 IT Management Issues
Subject: ITI-555: Operating System Essentials
Subject: ITI-556: Supporting a Network Infrastructure (I)
You could then transfer into the Master of Networking and Systems Administration (MNSA) with full credit because all 4 of the subjects you completed are also in MNSA.
